February 6, 2026, Naic, Cavite – Feed the Hungry Inc. (FtH), through the Lingkod sa Kapwa Pilipino (LINKAPIL) Program of the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for an eight-classroom school building for the students of Centro de Naic National High School (CNNHS).

The program was spearheaded by school officials and faculty members led by Dr. Joie E. Buendia, Principal of CNNHS. The event was also graced by the different officials including Mayor Rommel Anthony Magbitang of the Municipal Government of Naic together with Dr. Antonio Faustino, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Cavite Province, which both expressed their messages of support and gratitude to the organization for choosing their school as a beneficiary of this donation as the school badly needs additional facilities in view of the almost 3,000 school population.
Present in the activity were some of the officials of FtH, including its founder, Engr. Pablito Alarcon, as well as Chairman of the Board, Mr. Larry Pacis, Ms. Milagros Nazal, and Mr. Angelito Ilagan. In his message, Mr. Pacis emphasized the organization’s enduring mission to uplift Filipino communities through sustainable development projects. He also expressed their gratitude to the CFO for serving as a vital link between overseas Filipinos and local communities.
This project is a part of their long-standing legacy of diaspora philanthropy. From 2003- 2024, overseas Filipino donors have donated a total of 252 classrooms in more than 130 public schools across the country. Notably, 185 of these classrooms were donated by FtH, which shows their consistent initiative towards improving the country’s education sector.
Representing the CFO in the activity were Ms. Marita Del Rosario- Apattad, Chief Emigrant Services Officer of the Project Management Division, together with Mr. Erwin Paul Cristobal, Senior Emigrant Services Officer, and Mr. Joelo Raphael Ramirez, Creative Arts Specialist.
